Ah, the classic game dev shower routine. First, you think you're being clever by enabling that fancy water particle system. "Just call GetWet() and we're good to go!" Then reality hits you like a bucket of cold NULL pointers. The NullReferenceException is basically Unity's way of saying "you forgot to actually put water in the shower before turning it on, genius." It's the digital equivalent of standing naked in an empty shower stall wondering why you're still dry. Seven years of game development experience and I still make this rookie mistake at least twice a week. Who needs actual cleanliness when you can just debug water physics until 4AM?

Why waste precious hand energy when you can automate your remorse? While normal students are developing carpal tunnel syndrome writing "I'm sorry" a hundred times, programmers are just like: "Let the machine do the tedious work." This is basically the origin story of every programmer—someone who was too efficient (or lazy) to do repetitive tasks manually. The beautiful irony is that we'll spend 45 minutes writing and debugging a program to save ourselves 5 minutes of work. Efficiency at its finest!

Threads seem like such a brilliant solution until you're suddenly debugging race conditions at 3AM, wondering why your program works perfectly on Tuesdays but crashes on Thursdays.
