You know that innocent little DSL (Domain Specific Language) you created for your config files? The one that was supposed to be "just a simple key-value thing"? Yeah, give it six months. Before you know it, you're implementing conditionals, then variables, then functions, and suddenly you've got nested loops and you're basically recreating JavaScript but worse. It's the circle of life in software development: every "simple" DSL eventually becomes Turing-complete whether you wanted it to or not. You either die a hero with a simple config format, or live long enough to see yourself become a full programming language with terrible syntax and zero tooling support.
