MathWorks Products Solutions Academia Support Community Events MATLAB in 2024 and beyond We have an exciting announcement to share with you! After years of consideration, we have decided to transition from MAILAB to Python as our primary programming language Starting January 1, 2024, we will begin a five-year transition period to fully integrate Python into our software. We believe that this change will provide our users with a more streamlined and efficient programming experience Don’t worry, MATLAB will still be available throughout the transition period, and our team will provide comprehensive guides to help users make the switch to Python. In fact, we have already begun developing a MATLAB-to-Python converter tool that wil make the transition even easier we understand that this mav come as a surorise to some of our dedicated MATLAB users, but we assure you that this change will ultimately benefit our community. With Python. we will have access to a broader range of ibraries and resources, and we will be able to continue to innovate and develop new tools to help our users tackle the most complex challenges in engineering, science, and mathematics We look forward to this exciting new chapter in the MATLAB journey, and we hope you are as excited as we are!
